Ukrainian businesses and legal entities historically faced slow and paper-heavy judicial processes, prompting the urgent need for a modernized, faster system of interaction with the courts.
This traditional approach created significant operational delays and resource drain, while the lack of formal legal recognition for digital documents and electronic evidence left companies using digital workflows vulnerable during disputes.
To address this, the implementation of the Unified Judicial Information and Telecommunication System (UJITS) and Law No. 2147-VIII officially established the electronic court. This system mandates digital registration for key legal actors, enables online document submission, and legally validates electronic evidence certified by digital signatures.
From an environmental perspective, this digital transition is highly significant as it drastically cuts down on physical paper usage, reduces courier transport emissions, and minimizes administrative waste, showcasing how digital maturity directly supports ecological sustainability.
