Where IT gives nature the biggest effect

Every industry has its own environmental pain: tonnes of paper here, empty truck runs or energy losses there. Below are concrete examples of how digital tools cure it.

case study · municipal services

Smart waste collection

Before. Garbage trucks ran on a fixed schedule — half of every route led to half-empty containers. Nobody knew where each run actually went or how much waste reached recycling; reports were compiled manually on paper.

What was done. Fill-level sensors went onto the containers and GPS telemetry onto the trucks, all connected to the AZIOT Internet of Things platform. The dispatcher sees in real time where each truck is heading and for how long; routes are built from actual fill levels, not a timetable.

Then — recycling. The sorting line was automated on the same IoT platform: incoming and processed volumes are recorded by sensors, and collection and recycling reports are generated automatically — without a single paper logbook.

The eco impact. Fewer empty runs — less fuel and CO₂. A transparent chain — waste reaches the recycling plant, not a roadside forest belt. Automatic reporting — zero paper and objective data for the community.

−30%of truck mileage thanks to routes based on actual fill levels
100%of runs tracked in real time — to recycling, not "nowhere"
0paper logbooks: reports are generated automatically from sensors

Every industry has its own win

Municipalities & government

Services without queues and trips

E-services and e-requests instead of visits to offices: residents do not cross the city for a certificate, and council session packs are no longer printed in dozens of copies. Tools: LoGo, Megapolis.DocNet.

Eco impact: −trips and tonnes of session printing
Energy & industry

Energy without losses

IoT sensors on equipment reveal anomalous consumption, and predictive maintenance extends machinery life — it is scrapped and re-manufactured less often. Tools: AZIOT.

Eco impact: −energy losses and premature scrap
Logistics & transport

Routes and documents in digital

Telematics optimises routes and removes empty runs, while electronic waybills travel with the cargo instead of a paper folder in the cab. Tools: AZIOT, Deals.

Eco impact: −fuel, −CO₂, −paperwork on the road
Finance & insurance

A contract without a branch visit

A loan or insurance contract is signed online with a qualified e-signature: the client does not travel to a branch, the back office does not print the file in triplicate. Tools: Deals, Scriptum.DMS.

Eco impact: −90% of client paperwork
Courts & legal

Cases without volumes

Procedural documents are filed with courts electronically: no multi-volume paper case files, postal deliveries or copies for every party. Tools: eSud.

Eco impact: 0 paper volumes and envelopes
Agriculture

Precision farming

Soil moisture sensors and weather stations dose irrigation and fertilisers by the actual needs of the field, not "just in case". Tools: AZIOT.

Eco impact: −water and excess fertilisers in the soil
